As far back as the 1920's, the projected moving image has been a powerful tool in the theatre maker's arsenal. As technology has advanced, theatre makers continue to develop cutting edge techniques to enhance and augment live theatre.

About the event
In this course, participants will experiment with and learn in this growing field. By developing a short work, they will explore the opportunities and challenges that digital theatre presents to its makers. They will learn technical skills, integrate movement, dance, music and acting within digital settings. The 'digital' aspects of Digital Theatre requres performers and technicians to work in perfect harmony, aiding and supporting one another to create a totally immersive piece of work. The course will conclude with a live performance for family, friends and program partners. The performance will be recorded and live streamed and - possibly start a new trend on Tik Tok!
